We took a trip up the coast to gather some red granite. We went to Acadia National Park. Here is the material in the rough before we started collecting (it was a foggy day on the coast so the color doesn't come out too well in this picture): We brought home a haul of the material, here it is before getting washed and broken up: And finally here is some broken and washed before it went into the barrel this evening:

Those are some nice stones.
We have pink granite here in Texas. It is beautiful all shined and polished.

I'm a Texas native. I moved to ga 5 days before my 40th birthday. I guess my new hobby would hsve done well back home ;D
