You need to post from a third party such as Flickr.

You can add a photo attachment now using this forum. Add Attachment button up top of the Create Post box.
Photos have to be a certain size (or less) though to do so - I believe.
May have to resize you photo using some program such as IrfanView.
Sure someone else here could explain it better as I don't use that option.
oh, and welcome to the forum! Hope to see your picture soon.

fernwood nailed it garnet. Rhodolite garnet ...Rhodolite garnet is a raspberry-red, purplish-red or colored garnet. It is a mix of pyrope and almandine in composition. Rhodolite garnet gets its name from the Greek word, "rhodon", meaning "rose colored", which refers to its pinkish hue.

Am not sure either. I was thinking of red obsidian and amysist Those look a lot like some of the almandine garnets from Emerald Creek Idaho. The Tsavorite is delicious.

Does all garnet have magnetic properties? Some garnets (including the grossular tsavorite you have pictured, uvarovite and a few others) have only weak or nearly undetectable magnetic response. Still, magnetism (very strong magnet with the garnet floated in water) is a good test in narrowing down the possibilities.
