Still messing around with videos. I haven't got pictures done of this yet, but I think video is more appropriate for such a flashy stone, anyway.

Video definitely does it more justice than a photo would

Wow! Beautiful pendant - both wrap and stone! I like what you did with the video. It showcases the stone's Labrador-essence (?) quality in a way a still shot would not. VERY NICE!
What size is the silver band around the girdle?

Very effective, Tela. I must admit, I went straight to your website to see if this one was listed for sale yet. Love this piece!

If I was someone to buy jewelry online that video would have me SOLD! Even with pieces that don't have the flash of laboradorite, using a video to market your items, IMO, will dramatically increase your sales. And that pendant is !

I am hoping it will help to get the most true representation of the piece. Pictures often don't show the true character of the piece and while I try my damnedest, the colors aren't always just right in pictures, either. I think the size is more evident, too- in my less than glamorous hand. Now I need to go back and video all of my pieces..... what a chore. But, thankfully, it is actually a pretty easy process with HitFilm Express.

You'd have never been able to portray the stone properly in still photos. I'm asking 'cuz I really don't know...is the backing part of a wrap, or did you smith that? Hope that makes sense, as I don't know the proper terms. Hope you don't mind, but I have a couple suggestions for your vid. If you are concerned about the appearance of your hand at all, have you considered a glove? I think what you've done is fine, but I just thought I'd throw it out there. Also, I think you might want to consider having your website address fade in and out at the end of the video. It won't make a difference if someone sees the vid on your site, but if someone randomly comes across it on YouTube, you might want to make it easy for someone to find you. Granted, you pop right up with a Google search, but it's one less step for a potential buyer.

I actually did think about a white cotton glove. For 2 reasons: 1st, I sometimes get psoriasis on my hands and I can't hide it. 2nd, I could demonstrate how the piece does not snag on the cotton. I am very meticulous about that. I file a lot to make sure it doesn't snag, poke, or scratch. Plus, I have just developed good habits over the years. That's a great idea about the web address! I hadn't even thought about it. The 2 videos I have posted are not public, yet. I wanted to get down a work flow of exactly what I want first, so they are all the same. So, thank you, I will be adding that bit. Do you think a glove would look funny? I was thinking it might.

Do you think a glove would look funny? I was thinking it might. Thanks for the info. What appears to be a band (to me) on the (girdle?) is what threw me. I didn't have any idea that a band, if that's what it is, is used in wire wrapping. I think a white or black cotton glove would be fine, depending on maybe the color of your stones/wraps and what you want to contrast. I also tend to think of it as adding a touch of elegance...as if your pieces aren't elegant enough. Lastly, if your psoriasis flares up, the use of a glove won't slow down your work flow. Give it a shot. The worst that can happen is you don't like it.

I never saw the back of it I never showed the back of it. It is not silver set, so it has wires on the back. I'd post a picture, but it's gone already.

Although, I might keep it where I can look at it and just let her wear it from time to time. Haha!
