Water is still a bit chilly at the big lakes for bass so me and my son Jonny,went to a secret pond above the town of Gilroy. He caught the first three, but i pulled one out at the buzzer |

Nice! As much as I fished in the past, it's been a long time for me. Latest trip, some 20 years ago, was soaking Power Bait in the Sierras. Turned out great, as we ended up maxxing with trout at the end of the day.
Fishing is on my list of things to get back into. I get jealous whenever I see threads about stuff like this.

Nice! As much as I fished in the past, it's been a long time for me. Latest trip, some 20 years ago, was soaking Power Bait in the Sierras. Turned out great, as we ended up maxxing with trout at the end of the day. Fishing is on my list of things to get back into. I get jealous whenever I see threads about stuff like this. Dave Dave if you come my way to get to the Sierras, let me know I will go fishing with you. (just be prepared to get out fished)

Sounds like a plan. That one trip I was referring to was at Mammoth, but then you reminded me I had been up to Shaver a few times since then. I used to love camping at Edison Camp, but my last time there was about 2008 or so when the lake was down. Still was able to find fish.  |
