Leaving this up for now, so I can edit and divide into several boxes.
Was inspected by a local geologist. Apparently, I had unknowingly put a lot of fairly valuable and unique stuff in the box. He said there is no way I should sell it for that price. No, my crappy camera on phone did not do justice to what was offered.
Asking for input on how to divide into what people want.
Here is what I am thinking.
2 MFRB of coral nodules, slabbing size of 4" to 6". Many of these may also be death plates. Who knows what is inside when cut.
2 MFRB of Wisconsin Jasper, loaded with patterns, agates and oolites. 1 box of pieces 5" and under. Other box over 5". Colors to include reds, grays and yellows, often all three combined.
1 MFRB of Oolites, 3" and up.
1 MFRB as a catch all of black chert, fossils other than corals, and the Central WI agates from the Niagra Escarpment. Plus some other misc., which has great cabbing potential. Sizes would be 3" for the black chert, to 8" for the Agates.
If anyone wants to have some fun with ancient volcano bombs, I can put together a MFRB of those. Sizes 3" up to 8".
Could also do a MFRB of specimen pieces of corals and other fossils, 4" and up. Most of these contain lots of druzy and holes where the coral/organic material was only replaced on the thin sides, so the middle is void.
Plenty of SFRB's of tumble ready agates, corals and jaspers with great patterns.
Note that each box will contain some of what was originally posted and some other things. Will post each box separately.
Just looking to see what anyone would like. Fields will be plowed again in spring, plus I have a couple abandoned gravel pits to explore within a mile of my place. With, the owners permission, of course.
