Ran my first 24hrs in the mini sonic. Needed to give it a drink about every 3 hours or so. Turned well then would really slow down. I put in about a tsp (no more) then it was off and running again.
Is that normal? How do people run theirs overnight if the vibe needs to be watered all the time?
At 1.00am I ended up stopping the cycle, cleaning the rocks and leaving them in water til the weekend. It was not compacted on the bottom.

For the stage-2 220-grit fun, with soft stones, that is normal faodail . Even with harder rocks, like jaspers and agates, 3-4 hour watering is about right. Night sleep schedules DO take a major hit because of this but it DOES get better when you graduate to 600-grit and finer runs... maybe getting 5-6 hours sleep at a time. Lol! With the harder stones, you can sometimes get a full 8 hours in. Stopping the cycle as you did is OK... no harm... Sometimes your schedules and the vib's schedule will cause that to happen... You did well to clean the rocks of the slurry, because it will set-up hard like cement if left on... leaving them submerged is OK also... rocks can hold their breath a LONG time! LOL! (Note: Some cements set harder when cured under water... so it is good that you cleaned them off first)

I add extra water in my Lot-O just before I go to bed. Probably slows the action down for a while, but not as much as stopping overnight.

Keep track of how many days you expended on each stage. I post a note card next to my Mini-Sonic to record what is in the load, grit used, and date/times. If you had to stop a stage because of time conflicts, you do not have to go back and start at the beginning again.
