Hi guys - In my intro thread, someone asked to see pieces that I've done. The pics here are some of the amber hunks that I've polished. I know I still need to do a bit more work because there are some obvious scratches left, but amber is soft!
This piece had 'bark' on all sides. The flowers inside were a very happy surprise! I've used this piece to refine my polishing skills. As I practice, this piece shines even more. I'll take some new pics soon and share the current 'status' of this one =) This is a little hunk of egg yolk amber that didn't look like very much when I first started working on it. I love the way the polish looks on this. This is probably my very favorite piece of amber. There's a possibility it's copal, but with all the insects in it, I really don't care =) This piece had a 'crust' on it, so the inclusions weren't visible when I started. I am SO SO happy with this piece!

I like! They look very well polished to me. Have you ever tried Zam for polishing? I bet it would work well as a final polish. Btw- I think it was me that asked about pictures. Thank you!

Amber is one of my all time favorite stones, and you did them proud! Love all three, especially the little flowers!
