Scratched out a few slabs of palm.Couple hundred lbs tumbled,not many slabs. Polished small slabs More small polished snuffy

Just like with a tight coral pattern, I can imagine quite a few designs in this material.

Here are some tiny palm cuts.Had a hard time buying these off an old rocker.His lifetime of scrap cuts, I used them as filler in batches. Got a couple 5 gallon buckets of these and lots of other materials snuffy

So I saw this last week on Ebay. The guy sells books, and put up a set of book ends he picked up "many years ago" at a rock shop. The pictures were not very good, but from what I made out it looked like pet palm from the Lajitas area of Texas. They arrived today and and I'm pretty happy with my purchase! both pieces together with the outer layer showing. 6 pounds total Opened up. Super polish on the faces with felt glued to the sides and bottoms The top of the two This is a very cool set of book ends.. however I'm afraid at least one of these might meet the slab saw this weekend
