Hi all, a friend of mine recently got back from a hunting trip to South Dakota. She is a cool lady, an outdoorsman. I guess that should be outdoorslady. Anyway, I've been helping her to learn how to flintknap and she brought back some great rock for me as a gift. There is some really pretty agate and one piece has a neat purple color. If it wasn't a 3000 mi. round trip, I'd think about a rock run up there for sure. The first pic is a group of some of the rock, there are also 5 large pieces of pet wood not shown in the pic. The second pic is of the purple rock in hand. The last is a close-up of the agate that I sliced into to check out. What a pleasant surprize! Talk to you later, Don
