John, Those are all great. Thanks for showing them to us! How long does it take to shape one? Looks like it would be pretty time consuming.

Cookie's right, John. You are getting better and it really does look and sound like you're having a good time doing these! I'm surprised that you can do them so quickly. I was thinkin' that they would take alot longer than a few minutes!
Since I'm 'old' and forgetful, could you post a pic of what you're doing these on? I may have to add something similar to my 'wish list'! I wanna be able to do some of those, too!

John, I know I'm being pesky, and this would probably kinda fall under the 'dumb blond' kinda question, but could you explain this procedure to me? HOW do you do this?
BE
PS I figure I'm allowed to ask 'dumb blond' questions because I am..............blond that is........ not dumb.........I hope! ;D

BE, I like to think that, under this red dye, I'm having a "grey moment". And I'm in serious need of a touch up, so I'll take notes cookie

its not real hard BE after you make some slabs if you see a designs on it or something about it you like trim it down to what ya want to keep, make sure the face is flat and smooth if not grindit till it is then just look at it most times it looks like a shape allready, i just go with that most times i dont know any better yet hahaha ,,then grind the edges flat and smooth shapeit alittle then just bevel the edge so its not just flat, then grind the sharp edge-s off the back so it dont chip thats as far as i have gone they still need like 400--600--1200-then polish im gonna order a drum next week ill let ya know how it gos hahaha

Awesome, John! I think I like these the best. Or maybe it was the last ones that I liked the best. Or maybe I just think that you're doing a completely awesome job, and I really love them all!
I saw your pic a couple of hours ago but was waiting to say anything because I just knew that folks would say what they 'see' in your latest batch. Since no one has, I just can't stand it anymore and have to say something about the bottom middle one. Surely all of y'all can see the 3 faces in that one. The face on the right looks like he's mad. My son thinks that face looks like Zeus. The top face on the left looks a little like Caspar (yeah, the ghost), but the face below that looks like a middle aged woman complete with hairdo.
What do the rest of y'all see in these. There's another really obvious one, but I'm not going there right now!

Ok, I finally see one. Hadn't seen any of the others but this one jumped out at me. The last pic, upper left corner. I saw it when he posted it b4. It looks like an Indian squaw kneeling in the snow with a blanket or hide wrapped around her. I see the faces too BE. Wow, musta been that bowl I smoked. Whhooaa dude. Hehehe. Otter
