vegasjames - Is this the material from Gemfield near Tonopah? Lynn Close, but not at the claim. I do not like the claim material. It is way too porous. I found a much better area that has more solid material and common opal up the kazoo. Just stopped yesterday and got about 30 pounds of common opal in a variety of colors (gold, butterscotch, sunset red, yellow, bluish-gray, white, purple, light green, dark green. salmon, etc.). And got more rhyolite. Found another area with some great stones as well including orange chalcedony and a really cool obsidian. I will try to post some pics when I get back.

I would like lot 2 please. All the lots have already been sold. Sorry I thought I posted that on here. I must have posted that on Facebook because the last two lots were sold within a couple of minutes of posting them on Facebook. I was selling them to make money to make a trip to see my dad. When I get back I will post some more for sale.

If you have more material that looks similar to what you listed here this time, I'd definitely be interested.

Most of the pieces I found though are smaller on average and some thinner. I will look some more on my way back. I am trying to relocate a gorgeous breccia I found while walking around in the dark with a flashlight last time I came through. Could not find it yesterday so I am going to head back and look for it some more.

I appreciate the reply. I'm looking for tumbler sized rough from the western part of the country. I've bought stuff online from all over the world, but have very little from the good ol' USA. I'll keep my eye on the marketplace. Thanks again.

I have all sorts of stuff including some agate and jaspers, various types of garner based rocks, unakite, epidote, etc. Let me know what colors you like as well.

My preferences are based more on interesting designs, multi-layered, contrasting colors, things like that. No geology background, so I don't know enough to be specific. I enjoy rough like crazy lace agate, picture jaspers, tiger eye, things like that. I usually choose based on looks. Not really color specific. If it'll make a neat tumble, I'll try it.
