This 16" Royal was sitting out in the rain at my neighbor's house and he gave it to me when I did some work for him. I am going to spend the least I can to get this thing working. The screw that moves the rock has 13 turns to the inch and I wonder if it should be changed out, since I am going to have to find a way to configure the motors and pulleys anyway. I have two 1/2 hp motors. One of them is a two speed evaporative cooler motor. I am going to build a stand and I hope to build the mounts for my motors off of that. I am starting at the back because that is where I am missing parts and need the most help. I think I can figure out how to configure the motors/pulleys, but I wonder if anybody has some tips or sources for the parts. I want this saw to work very badly. Attachments:

I can turn mine around and take a pic. of the back side; that will give you a basis for questions. The feed drive motors are available from Grainger, I'd have to get the P/N. Someone a year or so ago found the same Dayton gear motor cheaper than Grainger, maybe said person will comment here.

newton, here's the pic. off the back side of my Royal saw, looks somewhat different than yours. I can provide sketches of pieces if you want, let me know. Feed motor is Grainger P/N 3M098, motor attaches to sheetmetal cover that pivots on pin sticking out from back of saw shell. That 1/2-13 threaded rod is the proper rod for the feed screw,

Thanks quartz, I now have a direction, and it looks pretty simple compared to what I was thinking would be missing. I will probably have something else to ask later. The shutoff and switches are gone as well.

You want it to work badly, or you badly want it to work well?
