Amazing colors and endless variety.
Speaking from the stand point of someone that admittedly knows a little less then zero about the glass business. Are the bubbles just an expected result or are they considered flaws or imperfections in a finished piece? When selling these as cabs for jewelry do the bubbles take away any value?

Some really cool patterns Ya never know what that glass is going to do Alison. This clear glass is clearer than that from the other glass blower. One must re-melt, the other not.

Chuck In this case they would be considered flaws by most. But often acceptable and just part of the fusing process. Some glass is intentionally bubbled. Often using a chemical that generates them or taking it to boiling point which can generate them. Often a color layer is laid in above the heated side on bottom and the bubbles rise thru a color layer making wild patterns. Being this was a thick melt they are unavoidable. Sometimes a large plate of clear glass is laid over a decorative plate for instance and a large bubble will get trapped, a bad day. Best to cover in strips so the air has an escape.

Really nice patterns in these, jamesp! Me likey. Thanks hummingbirdstones. Made some bricks with only 2 colors instead of full mix with pleasant results.
