North Coyote Buttes is located on the Utah/Arizona, known as The Wave. Hiking here requires a permit, 20/day issued by the BLM. I've been fortunate to have been twice, these are from my last visit in 2011, I'll likely never go back, permits are very difficult to get. More photos here:

My absolutely favorite hike EVER Win !!!! Thank you for reminding me.

We were there in 2012. Did the lottery onsite in the BLM office in Kanab and got it! I've since requested online x2 with no luck.

There were almost 70 people trying for those 10 spaces that day. We were there second number called. The first number was a party of 4 people. When they called our number and I said we were a party of 5, you could here the air go out of the room. Took several more numbers until they found a solo hiker to make #10.
