I hope all the dads got to spend some time with your kids. We spent the day at my brother's house swimming and eating. I know that grandpa just loves spending time with his grandkids! I took some pictures of most of the rocks I got from Gerdus. Here is one of my favorites- blue lace agate. This is a light blue banded agate My wife really liked the sunset jaspers with bands of yellow, reds and brown. Here is the stitchtite. This is a lavendar colored stone that John was talking about. Blue and yellow tigereye Botswana Agate. Mostly smaller stones, no whole nodules, but there is some nice banded stones. The African turquoise Koi Jasper. At least I think this is the koi Jasper. The rocks were mixed in the drums. Please correct me if I am wrong. Unakite. Amazonite. Adventurine Sodalite. Same as the picture in the earlier post I have a few others - Zebra Jasper, Budstone, Red and white jasper and Autumn Jasper. My boss called to review a presentation for tomorrow so I didn't get to the above rocks. Will try to take pictures and post later this week. Are we successful if we don't have time to play with our rocks? Not sure of the answer, but is worth considering. Cal

Hey Cal. Nice rocks. I really like the amazonite. My slab saw is available if you want to slab some of your rocks or just cut them up into tumbling size pieces. I also made a 10" slab/trim saw that works well on fist sized pieces and smaller.
Congrats on your new arrival. Are you handing out cigars?
later, Ed

Great lookin rock Cal, I like the sunset jasper too, looks knappable. I would like to see about getting a few pieces of it to try and I'd be willing to make your wife an arrowhead from a piece and send it back. IM me if you are interested in parting with a few pieces Cal, talk to you later, Don

Greetings All, Wonderful news that your rocks came in, I'm glad I'm not the only one here foolish enough to buy in bulk Any chance you might want to do some trading? I've got some verdite, carnelian, leopardstone, butterjade, koi jasper (yes that's the right identification for the picture you have) and autumn jasper, all from Gerdus. I'd love to get some of the sunset jasper, amazonite, sodalite, or whatever you have enough of so that you can swap for something else. Drop me a message if you are interested, I haven't been posting much lately but I still look on the site every couple of days or so. WilliamC
