Hi Pup, I tried to post this before and it didn't take. I like the globe, I don't think it's hockey, gives it more intrest. What was your process in the vibe for those? They look like they are primarily quartz and thats what my next batch is going to be. I bet they go fast, huh? Very pretty ;D

Hiya, Thanks for the nice comments!! The globe is kind of cute, and it goes around really fast! You can change the light under it to red, green or blue. I haven't measured the globe. I have a smaller fluorite sphere and tried to put it up there, but it didn't turn, so I'll just have to get one the right size. I see an excuse to start collecting spheres coming on. I need to start attending RA meetings. Yeah, I was going to tell you the vibe directions, Cookie, even before you asked. These are a good vibe rock. If you look back at Riverotter's photos of her driveway rock that's so much like this, she posted one of them in their rough form, where they are already rounded and pretty smooth. This makes them a short termer in the vibe. I started them in 120-220. It only takes a couple of days for them to have a nice smooth surface and you can go forward at that point if you want, but it's decision time as far as how perfect you want to try to get them. You can see in the finished picture that these, while they shine just great, have surface pits here and there as well as some chips and cracks. I've finished batches of these before that were just as shiny as these but had a lot more of the pits and stuff. What I'm saying is that I took a lot of the ones in the picture backwards and ground on them some more to try to see just how perfect I could get the surfaces. So you might want to go somewhat longer in the coarse grind. The first of these that I did I finished in a week because I wanted them done to take on a trip. I accomplished this and they looked wonderful if you didn't mind the pits here and there. I mean, normal people thought they were great, I kept thinking they needed perfection.

The fountain with the rolling globe is one of my favorite fountains, I have seriously thought about getting one, but then I wouldn't know what to do with the one I made in ceramics.

You made a fountain in ceramics? How cool!
From there wouldn't it just be a small step to make a mosaic type fountains using your rocks? I just stacked them on there -- not exactly majorly creative.
