Does this count as photography? I have been doing photo restoration for many years. Started when I was owner/co-owner of a photography business. One before and after example here. More in Flickr Album. I find this so relaxing/rewarding, but it is time consuming. The thought of bringing a part of history back to life that was destined for the garbage… Currently scanning, restoring, adding info such as names/dates and storing on digital media. Sometimes printing photos on archival paper with archival inks. The only editing software I have is PS Elements 2.0 (from 2002), but seems to work well. Was used to full feature PS, but my newer computer is not compatible with the 2012 version I have. Go figure that the ancient PS Elements works. Nice job. I've done a few myself, and agree about the time consuming part. Tools for repairing have become much better, but for a good result it is still a lot of zoomed-in detail.

I've done a bit of photo restoring myself. But, as you say, it is really time consuming and there are so many more to do.....
