Visited counter place yesterday. Some new arrivals. Also found out they obtain materials from USA in addition to Brazil, India, Norway and Canada. Took these photos, so I would have a name to go along with the stone. One is of my dream counter for planning master bath. More about that under life, chit chat, off topic.
Of course, the scrap pile was unsafe to look through, after recent 10” of snow. This too will pass. Saw my neighbor who works there and he remembered me. Will be assisting once the snow melts so I can find more “good stuff” in the scrap pile for lapidary and my planned transformations of scrap to cutting boards. The scrap grinder has not yet arrived, but he said even when it does, he will save some things for me. Anything with flash, especially and lapidary/cutting board quality, natural materials. No composites. Might even drop off his finds to me. Gotta love small town WI and neighbors helping neighbors.
