Greetings Ladies and Gents, I see the old post magic still works! What I mean either create a new thread or reply to an existing thread, your post count goes up by 1 as normal, then delete your reply or thread, however your post count remains constant.
I told Mark the old Admin about this bug.
Anyway I am back after 28 month break due to a Stroke, but in reality I never left I just could not post!

Good to see an oldie back, Andrew.
Reminds me of a friend back in high school. If he had his mother’s car, last stop on the way home, after hangin’ out and cruisin’ around, was a park down the street from his house. He’d drive around in circles for a while, backwards, and wind some off the odometer.
Old Italian lady. Plymouth Duster.

Welcome back Andrew As I in does tries!. I'm sorry to hear about your medical situation - I hope you continue on the mend. Thank you for pointing out that members are allowed to delete their posts without lowering their post count. 120+ posts and deletions to make your point seems a bit obsessive to me but nonetheless the input is appreciated even though you made a REAL mess out of my security log with four pages of nonsense . I wouldn't call it a 'bug' - it's a standard feature of the Proboards software. When a post is created, the post count in the database is incremented and deleting the post doesn't change the fact that a post occurred. There are mods available that can remove from members the ability to delete their posts but I have no interest in installing one without a really compelling reason being presented. I can already see the flood of "delete my post for me" messages coming in the staff's direction Regarding artificially inflating a post count, we have posted rules against it in several locations - most prominently in regards to folks throwing up a bunch of nonsense posts just to get around our 100 posts before selling rule. The thing is, we watch closely for this situation and we have a wealth of tools in the drawer including the security log and the ability to manually raise or lower the post count of all members. This is from our Forum Rules page: Again, welcome back and thank you for your past and present contributions to the board. Tommy
