Been trying (at another thread here) to identify this material. Buddy dropped it off for tumble size cutting......We believe it's some kind of Jasper/Agate mix, Chalcedony.......even thought maybe a Chapinite due to it's formation, long wave UV color, various translucent/opaque features, and location (Nelson Lake/Wash Mojave Desert).........:
It's all pretty hard material.......doesn't scratch with knife and very little with a piece of quartz.........Any help here is appreciated...!

Yep the first pics are chalcedony the last one looks like dendritic agate.
