Shot in the dark. Does anyone have an older DSLR camera body that accepts Pentax K-Mount lenses they want to get rid of? In the early 2000’s I purchased a Minolta Dimage 7, which accepted all of my K mount lenses. For the photography business then, I switched between the Dimage and my trusty Pentax K-1000. Have another Pentax camera that was automatic, but did not like that "upgrade". Unfortunately, the Dimage died before warranty expired. Sent it in for repairs. Apparently, the camera was lost after arrival. Tried for a year to get compensation or a replacement, then gave up.
I am so fed up with using a phone camera. Have done lots of research on the pros and cons of buying an older body and using my lenses/accessories versus just buying a cheap, single lens digital camera.
For lenses I have an almost complete set, including various macro, wide angle, standard and 70-250 zoom Pentax lenses. For accessories I have a “lens extender”, which doubles to focal length, about 25 filters and an adapter to use the K mount lenses on screw mounts. Also lens shades and mountable/hand held flash units. None of the lenses have the RICOH pin, which is a good thing.
When using the screw mount adapter, the capabilities of the lenses decreased. I am fine with doing manual f stop and shutter speed settings for exposure. This would be used for “still life” photography only. The camera must accept SD or micro SD cards or have a USB cable for direct download of up to 100 images and enough internal memory if not SD compatible. Image size settings preferred.
All I want is the body and USB cable (if needed). Must be in working condition. A few dings are fine.
If anyone has something they think would work, please let me know. Prefer a Pentax model. 5 Mp or higher. PayPal cash purchase or/and rock trade.
To me a camera is a rock related item.
Thank you.

One place one might locate a 35mm camera body could be the pawn shop. if not sites like BHphoto have a wide range of older equipment. Times change and the older camera aren't very desirable except to collage students. Speaking of collages, try checking out the collages bulletin boards as students tend to sell their outdated equipment from their schools. If it wasn't the fact that the camera plus lenses are so heavy, I would have kept my 35mm a long time ago. Now I'm having to resort to light weight cameras or smart phones which doesn't capture the turn essence of the moment.

Have been to several local pawn shops and thrift stores. The pawn shops are way over priced and creepy. Most thrift shops are "as is" purchases, so if it does not work, oh well. Did put an ad on Craigs List over a month ago, but received no responses. I am seeing some on Ebay, but most have accessories included. I do not need more lenses, which are most of the purchase price. Hoping someone will respond here. When I am able to drive to the local UW, will check the bulletin boards and maybe post a wanted poster.

I'm going to have to think about this... I have a Pentax K1000... It's like brand new, with the manuals, and extras too... If I sold it and that's an (IF),I would have to sell it as a whole, not just the body..

I don't know squat about cameras so I'll let you tell me if this is even close to what you're looking for. I know I could find out more by Googling but I don't have the time or energy for it right now Edit: correction - E0S Rebel XTi
