Yeah, i found them in nebraska, not far from the sd line. About an hour from where i live. I think i found a new hobby. Or obsession...

They are definitely fun to find! The sad part is that I've lived here for about 27 years and I'm now just getting into rock hunting! All that wasted time...oh well, better late than never, right? There's a lot of material to find here, it's hard for me to pass up a nice chunk of petrified wood!

Congratulations and welcome on board! I've been up to Rapid City two times now with my husband, visiting one of his oldest friends. I've only managed a few hours of collecting and no luck in such a small amount of time to find a Fairburn. I'm super jealous and excited for you!
