I get notifications through EstateSales.net of any 'lapidary' estate sales within a certain distance of my home. We really never have any, but got an email about one that starts tomorrow. It doesn't look like much, but in going to the website to see what they had I spied this one in Buffalo NY that screams AMAZING. So I thought I would post the info here for anyone who lives up in that neck of the woods.
"We are excited to invite you to the liquidation of Hal Bach's Rock Shop and residence. Hal was the former president and board member of the Buffalo Geological Society, a physical education teacher in the Buffalo school system, and a well known jewelry designer and gemstone expert specializing in repairs and replacements. His life long hobby turned in to a full time business for both Hal and his wife Betty Lou. Hal has passed away, and Betty Lou is ready to sell their vast collection of lapidary. There's a vast amount of jewelry designed by Hal and Betty Lou, including rings, belt buckles, pendants, gold and sterling, thousands of high quality gemstones, thousands of polished stones, rough rock, crystals, large minerals and stone. There are several floors full, and an entire garage! One room is dedicated to energy stones and crystals used for psychic, medium and healing. Antique slot machine whose original home was The Canadiana at Crystal Beach, artwork by local artist Joanna Dicker-Bachman, antiques, books, music, and quilts, Occupied Japan china and figurines, appliances and so much more.
