Great pics Sands, what type cam did you get?
and that rockmobile is sure a nice ste of wheels. should have a snifferdog upfront to sniff out the rocks you are looking for. But going by the rockpics....you may well be able to do without that dog.
keep M coming sands !!

Very Good John. Nice Mook, but it took me a bit to find the little "mooky phallus". Keep up the good work!! The camera is great eh? So much easier to just shoot, reshoot, adjust etc. I bet you are going to fill up your hard drice with photos now ;D Thanks for sharing John, hope to see a lot more, now that you are equipped.

John, you can turn the flash off if you want to. The camera has 3 flash settings. If you look on the back of the camera there is a circle to the left of the LCD screen. There are 4 symbols around it. At the top there is a symbol that looks like a lightning bolt, that is your flash. You can toggle through the flash settings by pushing up on the round button. The LCD will display the flash symbol in the upper left corner of the screen under the battery symbol. If no symbol is showing on the screen then your camera is in automatic. Which means it will set off the flash if it thinks you need it according to the light it's receiving. If you push the button then the lightning bolt symbol will appear. This means you camera is in forced flash. This causes the flash to go off whether your camera thinks it needs it or not. If you push up on the button again, you get a circle around the lightning bolt. This puts the camera into flash off mode. Which means the flash will not go off whether the camera thinks you need it or not. If a hand appears and flashes in the middle of the screen that is your cameras way of saying there isn't enough light. If you want the flash off and that comes up just ignore it. Oh, and if you hadn't already figured it out yet the little flower symbol on the right of the circle is your macro feature. It just toggles on and off. Ain't it cool to have someone else with the same exact camera! ;D

Thanks for the reply Sands, My camera is also a sony..MVC-FD73. And some would say it already belongs in a museum. They are changing so rapidly one can not even keep up with it. But as long as mine makes nice pics I will hang on to it . I have been very pleased with it till now.
have a barrel of fun
