Are Diamond Pacific wheels color coded as to grit size and do other companys use the same colors ? I bought a few wheels from an estate sale and they don't have any labels on some and I'm trying to figure out the grits . Thanks Wayne

Yes they are color coded, other companies try to copy them but the colors are not always right.

I’m pretty sure some colors have changed over the years. John johnjsgems can probably give you a more definitive history. From Diamond Pacific’s 2018 catalog: 60 GREEN 100 LT GREEN 140 RUST 280 BLACK 600 BROWN 1200 GREY 3000 ROSE (TERRA COTTA) 8000 TAN 14000 CREAM 50000 LT BLUE

IF DP, those should be correct. The Chinese use different colors. 1200 is blue, 600 is red, old brain can't remember the others but same color code as the resin discs for Ameritool and Hi Tech.
