Sandsman and Cookie, your rocks are on the way. Sent them out this morning by UPS ground. No telling when you will get them or if you even do! The gal at UPS was too busy tallking/fighting with her exhusband to pay much attention to what she was doing! So, they may go to Timbucto for all I know. If I wasn't so lazy I would go get my handbag and give ya'll the tracking numbers, but I'm too tired to go find it! If you don't get them in 7 to 10 days, let me know and I will put a trace on them.
Shorty, your walking stick will go out sometime next week. I found a mailing tube it will fit in. Before I send it I decided I needed to put something on the bottom so it won't slip. Didn't know if I could find one of those rubber caps, so got a dead tube from BE and will cut out a circle of it and glue it to the bottom. that should keep it from being slippery.

Llango, and others. A great mailer for long fragile items is PVC tubing schedule 40 with the ends glued on. To open it it takes an hacksaw, but fragile stuff makes the trip. It worked for me.

Thanks Llana, I got some rock from Sandman (really cool stuff) and today I got some agate I won on Ebay. It's like Christmas in July ;D ;D ;D I'm waiting on one more from Ebay and yours. Then I'll have to decide what to put in my batch. I'll check for hardness and throw in a little of everthing compatable. Gotta love those mongral mixes. Thanks again,

PVC - never thought of that! Which is weird since I have several lengths of PVC out back and have used it for all sorts of things in the past.

Shorty, well it's a bit longer than "next week", but your walking stick is all packaged up and I am sending it today. Don't know yet if it will be coming FedEx, UPS or what - will decide that when I get to the shipping place - but it's on it's way to ya'.
Hope you like it. I do want an honest critique of it. Your are/were my guinea pig, so I need to know what you REALLY think and any suggestions for making it better.
I didn't put anything on the top because you said you have a stone for that. Also, out of all the glue I have, I couldn't get the rubber to stick to the bottom! So, if it's slips on pavement or something - I don't think it will - I guess you will have to take care of that yourself. I have no doubt that you are ingenious enough to come up with something more successful than my rubber idea. LOL!
