Nice! I love that stuff. When we did the Billings federation show years ago they had huge Montanas in their display cases. Like one or two to fill the display case. You mostly see pebbles up to maybe small fist size on display here.

Looking good, lets hope those fractures are healed and hold up. Love working Montana's, they still are one of my four favorite materials, but often get frustrated by things falling apart.

They where my favs from the beginning, and while I hardly work them now (save FA), they still are... But,... Montana still tops them all.

Jade was just a guess because I know it's good for carving.

My favorites are anything that makes beautiful cabs. I like Morrisonite, Owyhee, Montana, Blue Biggs, Bruneau and Tahoma.
I would like to cab boulder opal but I can't afford it.

What I look for in Montana is stripes, big honking dendrites, red, blue and finally colors. I bought a LFRB of nodules directly off an ebay seller that I had made previous auction purchases. What I got was some colors and a good deal of cabable slabs. Not the motherlode. I've tried to get more but I guess he wasn't interested.
