Same self collected rocks as in previous photos so nothing special except that overall shine is better than previous...three of them are wet shine like (can't see it in the photo so you'll have to trust me...wish I knew how to capture that but I'm working on it). Anyways every batch is a little better so things are headed in the right direction...

Good job on the tumbles.
As far as capturing the shine, stay out of direct sunlight. I don't know the exact reason why, but the shine gets washed out and the camera can't pick it up. If you're using bulbs, they may have to be diffused for the same reason. Play with different light sources in your home, or photograph just inside of a window where it's bright outside.
In my house, since I don't have an artificial lighting setup, my "best" spot is underneath a skylight. Next is in the garage where I have daylight fluorescent bulbs. Hope this helps a bit.

Very nice. Are a couple of those pet wood? Chuck Thanks...if you're referring to the 2 brown/black ones just below the coin, yes I think they are pet wood. Way back I got a big 5 inch tumbled pet wood chunk from my sister ( I think she bought it somewhere) and over her ownership years it cracked and got beaten up pretty good (kids) so when she passed away I got the rock and recently busted it up and tumbled the pieces....those are 2 of the larger pieces...so I lied about them all being self collected...I beg for RTH forgiveness

Was that the case? Chuck

Was that the case? Chuck No...the 3 on the outer edge to the right of the coin were the best although the pet wood was not far behind. I put a closer/better photo of those 3 in the Rock Identification forum...

I will try your tips on my next batch photos and if they're better then I'll be blaming you
