THIS ITEM IS NOW AVAILABLE ON EBAY, W/ SHIPPING AVAILABLE!@www.ebay.com/itm/253719913417?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649
that on the left side uses a Covington arbor,
and has two worn but true 8” SiC grinding wheels (about 7” now) 100 grit and 220 grit, 1 1/2 “ wide.
They could be replaced with diamond wheels, if you later choose.
The right side arbor is homemade welded steel and uses pillow block bearings.
The left side has a Scott Murray 8”x3” Expando drum,
and I’m including 3 NEW belts w/ it- a 220, 400, & 600 grit.
The far right side
is set up for spin on disks,
either flat or domed. I’m including the used discs that I found w/ it,
2 of them are 10” diameter and slightly domed and canvas covered, and were used w/ various silicon carbide grits. They use a fitted retaining ring to hold the canvas on,
so replacement with your preferred material would be pretty simple. There is a 8” dia. Flat lap that appears charged w/ a unknown polishing agent. Pad is replaceable. There’s one more flat lap and it has an 8” Sic disc attached, along w/ a few 8” 120 grit Sic discs.
The four hoods and 2 arbors included have all been stripped and repainted, bearings cleaned and checked, belts are ready to connect to your motors (2 required, unless you’re creative).
Rubber edge guard covers all exposed metal edges. The hoods have been plumbed with brass valves and is easily adapted to your water supply.
The arbors should be mounted on a sturdy work surface. An old desk or workbench could perhaps serve the purpose. The pans are made to be removable for easy cleaning. Please refer to photos for condition, as some of the hoods have a few dings, but nothing that could affect performance.
This complete 2 arbor setup is available for the low asking price of $500. For local pickup in Yreka, CA Cash only and it must be picked up before May30, or after June 9. If no takers on the forum, I will put it on Ebay sometime after June 10. Thanks for looking. If interested, post here and then P.M. me.
