A few years ago, I sorted my slabs. This slab was from a box marked picture jasper and found this slab. It is brecciated Owyhee.

Brecciated Owyhee is new to me. I've really come to like brecciate anything. Looking through old boxes of rocks is like seeing old friends again.

Better picture. My camera makes the object too light with a dark background.

Sure is a pretty slab. I love finding good stuff that I forgot I had.

It is Owyhee and it is brecciated, but I can't find brecciated Owyhee anywhere. It is probably just lumped with Owyhee.
I took a template, laid it over the slab and rotated the slab to see all the possible scenes. Anything that incorporated the brecciated part, just looked weird. I could cut an ok cab from it, but that would be a waste.
I have a cigar box for picture jasper and will add it. At least I'll know where it is.
