Love the pea pod and the crystal points. The one above the crystals too. You have nailed this primitive touch to metal work. Sending PM

It has something to do with Tapatalk-stating a privacy error. I sent them an email. May just have to delete it.

I haven't tried this yet and don't know- so I am asking.... How thick is the plating? Will the bails hold up? Are they pretty strong? I love where you are going with this- it's just hard to tell from pictures how well they will hold up- like will the plating on the bails wear off easily with constant rubbing?
I love how each one is different and I especially like the one with the crystal points. Very unique.

I see them now. You sure are getting a handle on controlling where the metal lands. Keep em coming !

rockjunquie from what I've read on the process, the longer you leave it in the plating solution, the thicker the plating will get. Here's a pretty good electroforming tutorial:

I love how each one is different and I especially like the one with the crystal points. Very unique. The bails are actually not plated. I use a thicker gauge copper wire that I take a hammer too and attach them to the stone/glass and then use apoxie sculpt to cover the ends of the wire. A couple of them, I made from the apoxie sculpt and then plated it. The plating is pretty strong and from what I can tell durable. I take a dremel to it after it comes out of the bath, and it does not flake off at all. Sometimes, I wish it would cuz I got it on a place I didnt want it on I've got some ideas in my head to incorporate wire wrapping, we will see how that turns out
