Snag the wolf! LOL!
There's an older (about 80) gentleman by the name of Tony who is a vendor at our show. He does the most amazing paintings of animals on rock slabs. I have been wanting to buy one for years now and last year he did some owl families that people snagged before I could get over there to buy one. (One of our club members bought 3 of them last year, including the owls!)
Anyway, Thursday during set-up I was talking to him and asked him if he had any owls this year and he told me he did -- and two snowy owls, one with a castle. I told him not to sell them until I could get to his booth first thing in the morning to look at them. Needless to say, I bought the snowy with the castle and it is awesome! I am so proud to have a Tony original. He always kills it at our show. He always has a group of people around his booth forking over $$$ for his stuff.
This is a long winded way of saying I bet your brother would do incredibly well doing something like that. I will post a picture of my owl after I unwrap it. Still recovering from 3 days of being constantly on my feet talking to people.
ETA - And he is not cheap. He does not have prices on his work, he has a book listing them all with their prices. His price tags are little signs on his table that say "Kind of cheap", "Expensive" and "You Don't Want to Know"!

I always wanted to try pottery. Maybe I will one day.... It's been something I've wanted to try so I figured why not? Absolutely, give it a go. You may love it or you may not, but you'll never know unless you try it.

@msali do you still do electroforming and what do you think about how these pieces would sell in a rock shop?

There are so many photos that no longer appear. Tommy, rockjunquie, could you fix that? I'd like to see her new projects. Thanks.

Sorry, it's a Tapatalk app error message that comes up instead of the photos and there's nothing I can do. It appears that photos posted on Tapatalk are temporary. I hope this is not the case.

Guess that means Ali will have to show us more stuff! I revived this old thread because I wanted to know what's become of the "new obsession."

Excited to hear how it goes. I tried my hand at wire wrapping, but I went down the electroforming rabbit hole one evening and now I really want to give it a try. I have been stopping myself from buying the goods because I want to finish up some other work first. Totally want to bug you in the future.
