So I finally found some coral ( I believe ) Now, what do/can I do with it so as not to ruin it. I'd like to make some cabs out of it eventually. He's about 24" long x 10/12" deep. Is it best to to soak, break it up, Have slabbed by someone with a bigger saw than my 10" drop it off the roof or any other suggestions (I'll look through the forums for prev. posts but wanted to post a pic anyway.) Way cooler stuff posted on here I know but I'm pretty proud of my first piece.

Slab for Cabbing it eventually, outside is a bit chalky and soft. Just wanted to know best practice for dealing with it I guess.

I asked you what the goal was so you would define the path yourself. And you did. You want to make slabs for cabs. The outside may be limestone (fizzes with lime away) or opal from the chert degrading.
