Now those are some hot lips Karlas got some good lips, but yours is more abstract Maybe her page will give you some ideas though? I did consider doing them by dome on flat cut-to-shapes but wanted to do more like 3-DIM stuff. Not just ideas for the lips, but ideas as the tags she uses. Trying to figure out ways that would drive more people to your site.

Trying to figure out ways that would drive more people to your site. Thanks Alison. sometime look at a program called Marmalead. You can do some free trials on it. It rates search/key/tag words and gives you search numbers on each. And a bunch of other stuff like rating your listings, descriptions, etc. It is an Etsy assistant. I recommend My fire pit site title(Etsy search engine looks mostly at title and tag words): " Fire Pit 42 inch firepit Medium Depth Pedestal Base metal fire pit fire pits fire pit bowl fire bowl steel fire pit hand made fire pit" Ask a question

More "gold sheen" in the mix also.... Kool with a K.... Some of the mahogany has a serious sheen Michael. The other sheen is all black aside from the sheen. Gold sheen it is and it does reflect well. Looks like it must be sawn close to the reflective layer too.

That's a great tool to have I may need to look into that A month after following it's path sales went boom. Fire pits a small category and low competition so it probably worked well. Doubt it can improve a giant category like jewelry too much.

Ack! I missed this thread somehow.
Love all the lips and all the obsidian. The clear obsidian with the black squiggles is generally called Midnight Lace, I believe.
I like your lips way better than KarlaElyGlass. Hers don't have much imagination involved. Too generic.
Please pm your address. I want to send you something and I misplaced the envelope with your address on it.

A lot of glass is limited by the stock available. A lot of fused glass pieces look contrived and childish IMO. Using the patterns from blown glass was a game changer. It puzzles me why people that work with glass don't consider hiring glass blowers to make a portion of their fusing stock. The local blower charges $80 for a heavy 10 inch 'stock globe' with incredible patterns untouchable by kiln work. Compare to buying the same amount of high grade agate slabs to cab, it is a bargain. 10" globe = 18" x 18" slab and glass has almost no scrap. Using nippers and glass cutter has no saw kerf. Must have gotten ~5 pounds of fine sheen out of the 14 pound sheen chunk so far. Doing exactly what you suggested. Cut preform cabs and will tumble the whole batch in mass. Can't melt dome the obsidian so these cabs will end up tumble domed on both sides. Geez, in the big kiln I can melt three 18" x 18" slabs at 1/4' thick with not too much effort. Compared to sawing w/18 inch rock saw that much slab out of rocks is a big labor saver. Saw work is a lot of work. Looking forward to my surprise.
