I acquired 4 large slabs of this material, and based on the numbers written on one of the slabs, someone thought it was desirable. Can anyone id the slab? Likely origin is CA or NV. Thanks for your thoughts.

Actually looks like an "onyx" from Arizona. Not exactly like 7 springs but similar.

Travertine a.k.a. Mexican Onyx (mohs hardness of 3) where as real onyx is agate made of the mineral quartz with a mohs hardness of 7. your pocket knife should easily scratch it and then you will know for sure.
