The first slab, dark Descshutes is from a thick slab I split/ hacked up. It is polished on the bottom and uneven on the top. 1/4" thick $10. Second slab is Dechutes or biggs. Photgraphed on the bad side. The other side is clean except for a little matrix on the corner. 1/4" $10. Third slab is Biggs or Blue Biggs. Both sides good. 1/4" $10. Fourth slab is Blue Biggs. Both sides good 1/4" $12. these 4 are reserved for wpotterw. Next picture. First slab is African queen or desert queen or similar. I found it but not on Ebay. Both sides good 1/4" thick $3. Next slab is BB. Back is not as nice. I can't tell looking at the edges what will happen to the pattern when ground. 1/4" $2 I need help on the last slab. I am 100% sure that is Owyhee that I slabbed/hacked up from a big piece of rough. I have been trying to use ebay sold items for comps, but I couldn't find a good comparison. I will be selling around 10 pieces of this varying in size an quality. Can many people help me with this? I have 20-30 pieces of picture jasper to photograph and list.

still need a scale a tape measure or ruler. I didn't read that post was not really interested in Montanas just a suggestion. At some point these posts will be buried by others and these pics don't show the full outline of the box not shure if I'm seeing 1/2 or 1/3 or what.

The Blue Biggs on each picture is 3 1/2 across. I'll look for a ruler. They were cut from the same rough. I cut a cab from the dark Deschutes other half. The cabs pictured are lighter than actual. Fat pear shaped cab in the middle of the second row. forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/79971/ryker-box-sorts

That's all for picture jasper, until I can get a valuation on Owyhee on the second picture from the top. I have more than 10 pieces and won't list them until I can price them.
Next up porcelain jasper; Morrisonite, Carrisite, Willow Creek, Bruneau, Tahoma. What I am doing is labor intensive and for the hobby. Not raising money for groceries or beer.

I would suggest posting your rules at the start of each listing. Maybe add a coin for size reference in each photo. Yes, this is very labor intensive.

I found these in with my Morrisonite, but am pretty sure they aren't. Color is off on the left one looks like Biggs. 1/4-5/8" slightly uneven. Both sides good but not the same $5 The right one is probably Biggs. Both sides about the same, 3/16 $4. reserved for conifer.

I found these in with my Morrisonite, but am pretty sure they aren't. Color is off on the left one looks like Biggs. 1/4-5/8" slightly uneven. Both sides good but not the same $5 The right one is probably Biggs. Both sides about the same, 3/16 $4. I think the one on the left is another Rocky Butte. The one on the right I think is indeed Morrisonite (I have a cab that looks very similar in colors and pattern). I need help on the last slab. I am 100% sure that is Owyhee that I slabbed/hacked up from a big piece of rough. I agree with Owyhee. It looks like it may have the slight bluish cast to the background that you find in old Warbonnet, but I don't think the dendrite formations look right for that. You might just want to call it Owyhee Dendritic jasper. Second picture Rocky Butte 1/4" both sides the same $8 Owyhee 1/4" (bottom left corner $2 Owyhee (enter) 1/4" $2 Owyhee (middle right) 1/4". both sides the same $1. Maybe chicken track, grittier look, end cut that will produce two slabs $5 I think the piece you have labeled as "chicken track" may actually be "Desert Picture jasper" (came from the same general area as Chicken Track and Starry Night. Sell that one for $7 or higher (it may all be gone in the wild - haven't seen anything new coming out the last 15 years or so).

My wife bought slabs to be slabs long before I started buying slabs to cab. No records were kept so I only know the stuff that I bought.
Thanks for your input. I don't mind when someone gets a real bargain. Morrisonite comes in many flavors and the slab doesn't exhibit the features that I am interested in. The slab is hard and will take a good polish. $4 seems like a reasonable price.

(Re: your comment about low response) Great stuff here, thanks for all the labor to put it all up. Don't really have cabbing capacity right now but will continue to watch in anticipation of said capacity and in case I fall in love with something.

I will be sending out invoice messages in about a week. When your slabs fit in a small frb, I can ship in a small frb. When they won't fit or you choose to have them sent in a medium FRB and add some free slabs (not fill the box). The value of the slabs will be far greater than the price difference between a small and medium frb.
