That is pretty darn awesome! I wouldn't know a Richardson's egg, even if it bit me. That's beautiful nonetheless.

Agree with others: like an aquarium without the feeding and cleaning chores.

Very Nice Eggs and exceptional photography. What kind of lighting are you using?

Very Nice Eggs and exceptional photography. What kind of lighting are you using? For these two I just used the flash on my canon sx 60is. in the macro mode. I am playing with a bright LED work light for my DSLR, it seems to work good also. I try to not have any reflections unless I am trying show the quality of the polish.

You must be digging in new beds since I was there in the 1960's. Those I found all had a brown shell. Blue Bed Priday Plume

The only way I can tell for sure is to dig them!! Super Stuff! You must be digging in new beds since I was there in the 1960's. Those I found all had a brown shell. Blue Bed Priday Plume I am not sure but I think that the old beds are no longer open for digging, they do play out over the years and they open new ones, The Original Blue bed is closed and they open a new pit just south of the old one and they call it the south blue bed. This year they did a lot of dozing and I think they made the bed worse. Found much betters last year than this year. That just may have been bad luck on my part. The Priday Plume bed is only open when the local shows are going on and they have someone supervising the digging area. I have never dug if.
