One good thing about SW Utah is the ability to adjust temperature with altitude. I live at 3300 ft and can get to 10,000 ft in a little over an hour. Saturday we took what's become a yearly mid-June drive over one of the local mountains. The first wildflowers to bloom are the Plantainleaf Buttercup, they didn't disappoint. Over the next few weeks we'll get more wildflowers in the mountains, it's been very dry, though. Next week we'll go a little higher, the Brianhead, UT area, maybe find some agate.

Beautiful. I remember many trips to the mountains in CO and AZ. The flowers blooming never disappointed.

lol dude Utah is so nice.
In Kentucky, the general elevation is about 1000 feet to 2200 feet, sometimes higher, but rarely over 3000 feet, only in the eastern part of the state. You can get to 10,000 feet easy in Utah? Not here. You need a plane for that. xd sucks I know but I live with this fact everyday.

I spent the first 60 years in NJ, I know about hills, back there they called them mountains. My brother lives here, now, can't believe that no matter where he is it seems there is always a mountain to look up to. For us the exception is Brianhead, at 11,400 ft you're looking down at everything you can see. I have to get to Colorado, 14,000 ft has to be incredible.
