Here are an assortment of agates that I've been tumbling over a period of several months now. Basically, they're just odds and ends from previous batches that never made it all the way through 60/90, or small loads that I started on but never finished. These stone took as liitle as 2 weeks for some, and up to 4 month for others, in 60/90, before moving on to 120/220. I used aluminum oxide for pre-polish. They finished with a blinding shine in less the 5 days in Titanium oxide polish. The stones are Queensland agates, (from Agate Creek, Queensland Australia) Lake Superior agate, Oregon Thunder eggs, Oregon carnelian, Ocean jasper, Arizona petrified wood and blue fortification agate that I collected myself in the Mojave Desert in California. As well as some other stuff from who knows where. Here are some pics of the load in its entirety. Please be patient, as it might take a few minutes to load. There are 13 pics total! These next two pics are of Oregon Carnelian. This is Carnelian from Bergs rock shop. My Girlfriend referes to this piece as "her ring." I think it will make a better necklace though. A beautiful piece of thunder egg. Here are some pics of the load broken up and orgaized by rock type. First up, are the Lake Superior agates. I got these from Bergs rock shop. These are a few good pieces of Oregon thunder eggs. I got these from Rough & Tumble. Best I've found yet! Cheap too. ...and last but definately not least, Queensland agate. These agates were formed over 235 million years ago!!! Thanks for looking!

To say those are amazing is a big understatement. Absolutely incredible.
The Lake Superior agates are stunning (and have a much nicer than many others I've seen). I think the carnelian is even more impressive, and even that is beaten out by the Queensland agates! I still think your posting of Ocean Jasper awhile back has to be the most impressive tumbled stones I've EVER seen, but this is certainly right up there vying for the title.
Keep 'em comin'.

WOW...No words to describe it! James, that's like Candy To the eyes! The photographs are also great, with photographs like that you could have a very nice poster done! My favorite rock is the small one in the middle of most photographs, the orange with a yellow part rock that is shaped like an orange slice! Great Job Great Posting !!! ;D

Absolutely gorgeous!! I am totally in awe of how incredible these stones can look. Sure hope I can learn to put a shine on like that. Now I have to go get a towel to dry my keyboard off, you guys could at least put a warning up that this is a drool area and bibs are needed. *smile* [glow=red,2,300]~ Cher ~[/glow]

James, That's an amazing batch Amazing shine!!! Where do you get your titanium oxide or is it dioxide? Also, what kind of camera do you have? The close up pictures are so detailed! [glow=blue,2,300] [/glow]

Thanks to all who replied! Sorry I havn't replied myself. I've been busy, as usuall. Hey Cal, I got my titanium oxide from www.rocksandthings.com/index.html This guy better love me for all the plugs I've gave him in the last couple of months! Thumlers sell titanium dioxide thumlerstumbler.com/ I've noticed that the dioxide tends to foam more then the oxide. They both work the same as far as polishing goes. Rockyracoon, eveybody ask me that question. Truth is, most of the good stuff gets picked over by my girlfriend, mom, brothers etc... I usually get the "leftovers." I do however have a few displays in my room. Marishiku, my camera is a Canon Powershot G5 with a wide angle lens. It is a wonderful camera! Thanks again!
