That was pretty awesome. What amazed me most is he just pretty much eyeballs that thing as he turns it into a sphere. Very talented individual.

There's an attachment. Using it looks quicker and certainly reduces the required skill.

I showed these to my husband hoping he would want to try. They are awesome! But if course he pointed out I would have to share some of my garage space for a lathe. So, never mind.

Fantastic sphere, but two important caveats:
1) He eliminates the most important step when pouring resin: getting rid of the bubbles!!! You will probably need an expensive pressure pot system to actually do this. You cannot just mix, pour, and lah-di-dah, you've got flawless resin, the bubbles are a nightmare! Resin is expensive, and the folks that sell it are never honest about the bubble problem!!!
2) Using a lathe while wearing gloves is INSANE. Don't do it. You could very, very easily destroy a finger or two.
