I don't know, after looking at all the gorgeous pics of finished rocks, mine a so boring but can't help it, I had so much fun. On my little trip down to the cities (Twin Cities, MN), the first thing my son did was to give me a bag with about 3 pounds of Lake Superior agates he's collected. I was so excited and he's like, "Gee Mom, doesn't take much to make you happy does it?" Here's a few for a close up. Here's a group pic of about 1/2 of them. Needless to say, I can't wait to get into tumbling these!! Then we went out hunting for awhile, and of course it rained but that didn't stop me, I had a blast. Found some really neat stuff, lots of different shades of quartz, agates, jasper. I filled 2 gallon size ziplock bags with all kinds of neat stuff to tumble. Here's a few ... And a few more .... The pics just don't do the color justice. I'm really jazzed about it. Funny deal though, my hubby keeps saying ... "Don't you have enough yet?" [glow=green,2,300] Ummm NOT!!!![/glow] I've got reds, peaches, pinks, greens but nothing blue. I need something blue!!!! [glow=red,2,300] ~ Cher ~[/glow]

Thanks so much for looking and all the nice comments. ;D I so much appreciate being able to come here and share with others who "understand" the addiction. Most everyone I know here just shake their heads and think I've totally lost it. [glow=red,2,300]~ Cher ~[/glow]

Well, I'm jealous and green with envy that you can find kewl rocks like that just lying around! Down here, we have to buy rocks like that! Those are gonna be great polished, not a shabby one in the bunch!
Enough rocks? Not likely! I have more rocks that I can tumble in a year, but I still want MORE! I think that's the nature of the addiction! LOL!

LOL ... me too. Rocks all over the place. Hubby says I can't do anything half way, it's all or nothing. I figure I was safe in telling him that they were my "pet rocks". I don't have any real pets so it works for me. And, he doesn't have to feed them when I'm gone finding more "pets".

If you need something blue, try some blue jasper or sodalite. I think sodalite is too soft to mix with those lake agates, but just an idea. I just started some blue jasper for my second load along with pet. wood and prairie agate.
