Here is another rock we found, It was very different from other rocks that were around, so have no idea if it is even worth keeping. The first picture of it is dry, the other 2 are of it wet. Bunny

I don't know what it is but it looks like something that I'd keep and try breaking up some. But then, I keep lots of stuff that I don't have any idea what it is. If it looks neat, it goes in my bucket. ;D

It kind of looks like chert or possibly flint
I bet it would finish just fine

How would one finish it? break it up, slice it.....or? I know so little yet But am learning as I go, and loving it ;D Bunny

Bunny, If you don't have a saw, then the options are somewhat limited as to what to do with that cool lookin' rock. I'd suggest 'whackin' it with a chisel and hammer. Besides, whackin' rocks is FUN!!!
If it's chert or flint like John said, then it should polish beautifully!

I agree with John, it does look a lot like flint. I'm holding some right now comparing it with the picture, and they have a lot of similarities. If it is flint it should polish nicely. [glow=blue,2,300][/glow]

You will never know what it will look like until you break it up and put it in a load, but I think it will look great. Tami
