Hey,
I've got around 15 lbs of mahogany obsidian, mostly of tumble size. I'm not really interested in selling, but I thought it would be fun to trade to someone who doesn't have access to obsidian grounds for something interesting that I don't normally have access to.
This is very nice stuff. All of it has lots of red; I got to a point where I wouldn't even bend over if I couldn't see red striping.
some pieces are virtually all red. This is all stuff I picked up out of the float. Sizes vary from 3/4" to 2-3", and a few larger. There are some pieces that could be sliced for cabs, depending on what a person wants.
(For now I'd like to keep the larger pieces, until I have a chance to get back and get some more.)
If anyone is interested in trading something, let me know!
Here are a few representative photos. The photo of the batch can give an idea of the distribution of sizes. (The 3 largest ones are mostly black;those are for a friend of mine who is practicing knapping.)
