How Do Diamonds Form? Contrary to what many people believe, most diamonds do not form from coal.

Guilty. I always thought it was from coal. Probably from watching Superman press coal in to a diamond in his hands.

Interesting article James. I was just reading this one yesterday - "Considering the total volume of cratonic roots in the Earth, the team figures that about a quadrillion (1016) tons of diamond are scattered within these ancient rocks, 90 to 150 miles below the surface." phys.org/news/2018-07-reveal-diamond-cache-deep-earth.html#jCpBoy I'd love to see the looks on the faces on the "elite" diamond wearing crowd if even a couple of tons of diamonds got brought to the surface ![(lol)](//storage.proboards.com/1258779/images/hyOivrcWsQyVjSKtYIub.gif)
