A few representative finds from the Clackamas river, in a VERY public place. Lots and lots of people. These were found July 9 (just after the holiday weekend.) About 15 lbs picked up in about an hour. Star of the show is a completely unexpected (to me) lovely piece of pet wood. Grain is very nicely preserved. About 4.2 lbs. I was absolutely not looking for wood, so I wonder how much I walked by! One nice piece of clear, banded agate. Another small (about 1") piece of lovely carnelian, not shown. Something Green. Might have too many pits and voids to do much with. But it's green. Sever other interesting pieces, most of which I wouldn't be able to identify. flic.kr/s/aHsmfj69c1

Liking the agate as well.
Have not rock hounded any rivers in OR, but have found some nice rocks in the Russian River in northern Cal. River rocks are cool!
