This is a giant pice of carnelian agate from Zimbabwe, Africa. I got it along with the apricot agate from Gerdus at The Mineral Gallery. The reason that I named this stone "The Eye of the Serpent" (other then because it sounded cool) is because it reminds me of that big gemstone that Arnold Schwarzenegger stole in the movie "Conan The Barbarian." And also for the distinct separation in the middle of the stone, which makes it look like an eye if viewed fron the side. When I first got this stone, it was about the size of a fist. Now, after about 3-4 month in 60/90, it is about half that size. Here are the "before" pics: Here are the "after" pics: These are pics of the stone with the Sun directly behind it. You can actually see the Sun poking through in the first pic. Thanks for looking!

That is just beautiful James. Very, very beautiful!! Man, That 3-4 month wait shows you really have patience beyond what I can muster. I'm jonzing when I have to go a month. That is well worth it. Where are the rest of the stones? You can't have me believe you did that one all by itself, can you? Super Duper job, my friend!!

Hi guys. Thanks for the comments! ;D I used 1 of my 15lb model B's for this one. Banjo, nice to have you back! I would have been jonzing beyond control if I had to wait for just this stone along. But considering that I have 4 model B's, it really wasn't that bad. I just moved the rock around from tumbler to tumbler 'til I though it was time to move on. To answer the second half of your question, I'm going to post the rest of the pics in a few minutes. You'll see them.

Hello James, Your perfection of tumbling stones always amazes me It is said ... if you want to get better at what you do ... then surround yourself by others who are much better than yourself at that specific task ... only then will you be able to truly advance your knowledge and skill. I am glad to be surrounded by you people on this forum, as you are helping me to become better with my tumbling skills. Thank you. John

AMAZING!!! If small polished rocks are great to have this large one is just a dream to have. Oh yes, I think I will be extremely happy with a 15lb tumbler as well! I guess I will end just like most of you, with a lot of tumblers!!! Great work James just amazing!
