I added a doc file . Hope that helps. I found it in a river bed around St Louis MO.

I added a doc file . Hope that helps. I found it in a river bed around St Louis MO. Are you inserting your own photo into the different files? If you do have the photos, then you can simply add an attachment like you did with your .docx file. Also, multiple views of the item may help.

It is hard to tell from the image what the material is. My guess would be a limestone or a chert. Limestone being softer and chert being harder. the pattern on the top appears to be a fracture pattern. It does not look like a fossil.

Looks to me like a vertebra. I have no idea of what could be the species, however.
