Good evening everyone Just thought I’d post a picture of some refrigerator magnets I made this afternoon from my tumbled rock. Roger

Those are nice. Do you cut the backs flat or just look for naturally flat backed rocks?

Good morning
On some of the rock I used a Dremel tool to flatten the back of the rock before going into first stage. On a few others had a natural flat spot.

I also use a lot of the 3/8 magnets from the same seller for smaller rocks . Surprisingly tough little buggers .

I've been using pieces cut from rolls of the magnetic tape sold in many craft departments, granted not as strong as the neo's.

Here's a few I packaged for a friends office bulletin board....No special or intentional "flat" prepping done, just affix the magnet to the flattest side of the polished stone:
He's requested another 20, so I'm using the same method and materials as the previous + 200 I have gifted to others:
Outside of the "very special" rolled stones I successfully polished (those we keep), the vast majority gifted have been so popular and appreciated I can't keep up with the demand.........folks still enjoy a pretty polished rock frig magnet...!
