Well it was a wonderful day.
The weather was TERRIBLE, it was pouring with rain in the morning, but I decided to show up at the meeting place anyways at 9am. When I got there Les was there (the wagon master for the day) and that was it. We sat and talked till 9am and no one showed. We decided to go out anyways even tho the rain was coming down pretty good.
We couldn't go to where we had planned due to the wet weather and possible road cave ins. So he showed me some spots that he goes to. One was just on the side of the highway. Wanted to take some pics but it was so wet didnt want to get water on the digital camera.
We dug a bit etc and found a few nice rocks, another fellow came along and we got to talking and digging together. He was on vaction and heading home and stopped to see if he could find anything.
We then went to a different spot, on a dirt road, and our new friend came along with us. There was alot of agates just at the side of the road. Les had told our new friend that he would find them just laying around. He went down to the creek (very long hill) and he starts yelling about the big one he found. Turned out it was about 5-6lb agate it was SO NICE. I am mad at myself for not getting a picture of it, but we were not near the truck at them time.
I managed to find some nice ones (I think) being as they are my first ones I think they are nice. There is a wide range of colors, sizes etc. I hope you like them as much as me, can hardly wait to do things with them. Sorry it may take while to load there is a few of them ;D
