Fossilman, thanks for the green wood I.D. I purchased this piece at a rock/gem show in San Antonio, Tx. from the man that dug it 40-50 years ago. It was unwashed but cleaned up well and shows some really nice outside texture.

The photo of the "Purchased-unknown chrome green" sure looks like Oregon's "Hampton Butte" petwood... I agree with the Hampton Butte description.
